Skills Manitoba 2012

IMA students were awarded the gold, silver and bronze medal at the 2012 Skills Manitoba competition. Each student had a limited amount of time to create a web site from scratch which was then judged in a number of categories including aesthetics, usabiliyt, and coding. A medalist will represent Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competion this April.

CBC Hockey Night in Canada Tour

IMA Media Production students’ were provided by CBC Hockey Night in Canada cameraman and ACC graduate John Einarson, who gave the students some hands-on time with the cameras in their swing seat positions.  Following that time, students had a more extensive truck tour and participated in a typical Hockey Night in Canada camera meeting conducted by HNIC director Geoff Johnson.  Following, Geoff’s simulated camera meeting, students had some time with the truck engineers and some time on switching and replay systems.
