This certificate program offers professional development skills training to organic crop, livestock or processing faciltiy inspectors or evaluators of organic certifying bodies. These courses all have a 4.5 day classroom format which includes an exam.
Topics include organic standards and permitted materials, inspection procedures and development of inspection reports, elements of the audit trail and its review, determination of contamination and pest management, national and international organic products regulations, and aspects of communication and confidentiality in working as an inspector.
